Tino O’Brien

Tino is the father of three children now grown and flown into the world: Molly the eldest lives in Burlington, Tessa the middle lives in Portland, Maine and Dylan, the youngest also lives in Portland. Tino is married to Elizabeth Courtney, the Executive Director of Vermont Natural Resources Council. Her three grown children are scattered from Boston to Burlington to Portland, Oregon.

Tino is a lifelong paddler and unable to resist swimming in any water that is relatively clean and still liquid and would “rather surf and snowboard than go to heaven”. While living in Maine, Tino founded and was the first president of a coastal land trust that is flourishing today. After twenty years as an educator and Outward Bound “lifer”, 5 years in human resources for Ben and Jerry’s, for the last 12 years Tino has worked for Brimstone Consulting as a consultant to large organizations on management and organizational development processes. Tino also served as chair and member for 6 years of the Board of Directors of the Central Vermont Community Action Council. In his spare time he builds stone walls.
