Water-Related Sites

We are always interested in other organizations and websites that have good information about public access to water-related lands in Vermont.  Feel free to let us know about those sites and we will add them to this page.

A good reference for waterfalls in New England:  http://www.newenglandwaterfalls.com

A good reference for swimming holes in Vermont:  http://www.swimmingholes.org/vt.html

A series of books, “Day Trips With A Splash”, has one for all the northeast, with a good selection for Vermont:

If you want to know about the water quality of lakes, the Lakes Section of the Vermont ANR Water Quality Division has a Vermont Lake Score Card where you can search for a variety of information about your favorite swimming place.  Visit their website, http://www.vtwaterquality.org/lakes.htm, before you take a dip this summer.
